Under the Primary Education Department of Wardha Zilla Parishad, education is provided to boys and girls from 1st to 8th standard through Zilla Parishad Primary Schools. At the district level, the Education Officer (Primary) is the head of the department and at the taluka level, the Block Education Officer is the head of the taluka. In order to provide quality education to students from 1st to 8th standard, various schemes sponsored by the Central Government and sponsored by the State Government are implemented through the Primary Education Department of the Zilla Parishad.

There are a total of 908 primary schools of the Zilla Parishad in the district, while there are 2 higher secondary schools. The objective of this department is to improve the standard of education in rural areas and to increase its quality, the schemes implemented by the Central and State Governments are implemented with enthusiasm.
This department handles the recruitment, transfer, adjustment, promotion, fixed-term promotion, inter-district transfer, Adarsh Shiksha Award, retirement cases, leave cases, Right to Information etc.
